Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Scrim Data ("Scrimdata," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit scrimdata.com, request a demo or an estimate, apply for a role, or otherwise interact with us (together, the "Services").

One important note on scope: this policy covers our website and our marketing and business interactions with you. Datasets licensed to us by data partners, and datasets we deliver to customers, are governed by the written agreements that cover those engagements, including their confidentiality, anonymization, security, retention, and deletion terms. Where those agreements and this policy differ, the agreements control.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. This includes your name, work email address, organization, role, and anything you include in a message to us; the inventory information you submit through our estimator (such as the tools your company used, team size, years of history, and company status); and information you submit when applying for a job with us.

Information we collect automatically. When you use the Services we collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps, including through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Information from other sources. We may receive information about you from publicly available sources and from service providers that help us with business operations, and we may combine it with information described above.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

provide, operate, and improve the Services;

respond to inquiries, demo requests, and estimate requests, and prepare valuations and scoping materials;

communicate with you about products, services, and updates, where permitted;

evaluate job applications;

monitor and analyze usage of the Services;

detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents, fraud, and abuse; and

comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as follows:

with service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer relationship tools, under obligations limiting their use of the information;

with professional advisors such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers, where reasonably necessary;

in connection with, or during negotiations of, a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction;

when required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Scrimdata, our users, or the public; and

with your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When deciding how long to keep information, we consider its amount, nature, and sensitivity, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, and whether our purposes can be achieved by other means.

5. Security

We maintain technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. International Transfers

We are based in the United States, and information we collect through the Services is processed in the United States. Where we transfer personal information from other regions, we take commercially reasonable steps designed to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection. Data-partner datasets are handled separately under region-locked processing commitments described in the applicable agreements.

7. Your Choices

You may ask us to update or correct your information, or to delete information we hold about you, by emailing privacy@scrimdata.com. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any such email; we may still send you non-promotional messages, such as those about an active engagement. You can control cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.

8. Your European Privacy Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and promoting the Services, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@scrimdata.com.

9. Your US State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@scrimdata.com. You may use an authorized agent where your state's law provides for one.

10. Children

The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@scrimdata.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
